Altar Servers

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve…”  —Mark 10:45

• Together We Serve God - Saint Mary Parish Altar Server program is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about our Catholic religion and to become more involved in our parish community.

• To be an altar server is an honor and a privilege. The purpose of this ministry is serving at the Table of the Lord, assisting the presider in the celebration of the Eucharist as well as other sacraments or liturgical activities.

The program is open to both boys and girls that meet ALL of the following requirements:

1. They have received the Sacraments of Baptism and First Holy Communion in the Roman Catholic Church.

2. They are in the 5th Grade or above.

3. They fully understand the importance of this ministry and are committed to it.

4. They agree to attend mandatory training sessions.
