For almost 24 years, our parish community has been blessed to have Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration on our campus. However, since the pandemic restrictions, we have had only limited Eucharistic Adoration in Mary, Mother of God Church from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily.
All of us can agree that we are facing many challenges in our world, country, church and families. There is such a great need for people to pray, and to pray constantly as Saint Paul reminds us. (1 Thess. 5:17) With the need for people to pray in mind, our parish is looking to resume Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration in Saint Mary Chapel. In order for us to open the Chapel 24/7, we need a lot of new adorers.
As you may remember, the goal of Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration is to have two people to cover each of the 24 hours. This requires people from all generations, young, middle-age, and older parishioners ‘to step up” for this important ministry.
Saint John Paul II encourages us: "Let us be generous with our time in going to meet him (Jesus) in adoration and in contemplation that is full of faith and ready to make reparation for the great faults and crimes of the world. May our adoration never cease.”
I am asking every parishioner, every parish family, to sign up for just one hour of Eucharistic Adoration a week so we can resume Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration at Saint Mary's.
