Jesus is Lord!
Dear: Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
The Church of Trenton and the parish community of Saint Mary, Mother of God Church rejoices at the ordination of George Chemaly to the Order of Deacon by Bishop David O’ Connell on Saturday of this weekend in Saint Mary of the Assumption Cathedral in Trenton, New Jersey. As his pastor, I had the honor of vesting him in a deacon dalmatic during the ordination rite. I am confident that I speak for everyone who knows Deacon George to say how proud we are of him. He has a passionate love for the Lord, His Blessed Mother and His Church. Our parish is blessed to have this amazing man serving our community as a deacon. Please continue to pray for Deacon George, his wife Julianna, and children Christy and Christelle.
Our parish is preparing to host a three day Pentecost Crusade on June 2nd to June 4th. This Pentecost Crusade is so needed to meet the challenges of today. As a parish community we need to gather like the disciples in the Upper Room and pray for a new outpouring of the Holy Spirit. “When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place” (Acts 2:1). I want to ask that everyone make a sacrifice of time and attend this three day Crusade and soak in the anointing of the Holy Spirit. It is my hope and prayer that after the Pentecost Crusade we will look like the Church that just left the Upper Room. I ask you to join in prayer of support for the Pentecost Crusade and for everyone in the parish to read the Acts of the Apostles.
The Pentecost Crusade welcomes two amazing keynote speakers that you will not want to miss. Barbara Heil is a former Pentecostal minister who has traveled the world as a missionary, teacher, and evangelist. After an amazing journey, Barbara came into full communion with the Catholic Church in April of 2013. She is a dynamic and inspirational speaker with a passion to awaken others to their destiny and purpose in Christ, and to lead people in deepening their walk with God.
Dr. Sean Tobin is a clinical psychologist and co-founder of the Divine Mercy Clinic and Family Center, the go-to Catholic mental health center for the archdiocese of Los Angeles. He is a Franciscan University of Steubenville graduate, having been part of the pre-theology program and earning a degree in Philosophy, and two interim years spent in religious life. He holds multiple graduate degrees in disciplines of clinical psychology, having first attended Divine Mercy University and then Azusa Pacific University – where he completed his doctorate. He is a convert from atheism, a charismatic catholic, and after specializing in psychoanalytic psychotherapy wrote his dissertation on “Exorcism, Deliverance, and Psychotherapy.” Sean is the Co-Director of Encounter School of Healing – Los Angeles Campus. He is a husband and father of 2, a worship leader, songwriter, and speaker. He is passionate about ecumenism, and about bringing others to a deeper encounter with God through the ministry of healing and evangelization – in the power of the Holy Spirit!
Also serving at the Crusade will be ministry teams from the Encounter School of Ministry – New Jersey Campus. The three day Crusade will include celebration of Holy Mass on the Vigil of Pentecost, Eucharistic Adoration, Healing Service, Dynamic Teachings, Anointed Worship, and prayers for a new outpouring of the Holy Spirit. To register for the Pentecost Crusade, please visit the webpage www.DOTCCR.org or call 732-671-0071, ext. 221. Again, I am asking all parishioners to come to the Pentecost Crusade.
Have a blessed week!
In Jesus and Mary,
Father Jeff Kegley
