Weekly Pastor Message for Sunday Nov. 15

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Our parish is excited to announce that we will hold a Christmas Super 50/50! I want to thank all the parishioners of Saint Mary, Mother of God Church who helped in selling the Summer 50/50s and the Fall 50/50s. Because of you we had huge grand totals! Congratulations on an amazing job!

As you know because of the coronavirus, the Summer and Fall Fairs could not be held this year. The proceeds from the Fairs, including the Super 50/50s go toward paying down the mortgage on our beautiful Mary, Mother of God Church. Each month our mortgage payment is close to $24,000.00. Not having the Saint Mary Great Fair and the Fall Country Fair this year presents a great financial challenge for the parish. That is why we need your help this year more than ever in selling the Christmas Super 50/50s. So I am asking all our parishioners, Saint Mary School families, Religious Education families... EVERYONE, to help make this Christmas Super 50 /50 a huge success!

Raffle books are currently being mailed to your homes. If everyone in the parish sells all the tickets in their Raffle book, it will be a tremendous help. You can obtain more raffle books at the parish office. The Raffle winner will be picked on January 1st, 2021.

The year 2020 has presented many challenges and the People of Saint Mary’s have been amazing navigating through the pandemic. I want to thank you for all your support and help for our wonderful parish community of Saint Mary’s.

Thanksgiving Day is just around the corner. All parishioners are invited to join in “Giving Thanks” as a parish family as we gather for Holy Mass at 9:00 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day in Mary, Mother of God Church. We all can agree that 2020 has been crazy, but we also can agree that God continues to abundantly bless us in the midst of the craziness. For this we “Give Thanks!” Have a blessed week!
