The Bishops of New Jersey have ended the dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation effective June 5-6, 2021, the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, it has been our goal here at Saint Mary’s to make Holy Mass and the Sacraments available to our parishioners in whatever means we could. We have been celebrating parking lots Masses and live-streaming Masses over 15 months
The work of Renewal is challenging, but exciting! It’s living out the Great Commission Jesus gave his disciples when he ascended into heaven: Go make disciples. The challenge is teaching the faithful what is means to be a disciple of Jesus and what he expects from his disciples.
Let me begin by wishing all our moms a happy Mother’s Day! Our mothers have such a big influence in our lives. My mom passed away when I was just 26 years old and even after all these years, there is still not a day that goes by when I don’t think of her or pray for her soul.
Good News: We have confirmed that a crew from Jersey Central Power and Light (JCP&L) will arrive at Saint Mary Chapel to run new wires from the street into the chapel.
The month of May is the month dedicated to Mary, the Mother of God when all Catholics are encouraged to turn their attention to the Blessed Mother with a renewed intensity.
