Since the conclusion of the Spring Plenary Assembly of the U.S. bishops last week, there has been much attention on the vote taken to draft a document on the Eucharist. The question of whether or not to deny any individual or groups Holy Communion was not on the ballot.
Because of early bulletin deadlines, I usually write my pastor’s notes on Tuesday mornings for the following weekend bulletin. So, as I write these “pastor’s notes,” last night was the first night of the return of the Saint Mary Great Fair. It was an amazing night! Thousands of people with smiling faces.
This is a very exciting week at Saint Mary’s! After not being able to gather because of the pandemic last year, every one is looking forward to the Saint Mary Great Fair. The enthusiasm and expectations are high! We anticipate thousands of people will be coming to our campus to enjoy the rides, food, fun, and fellowship
An afternoon of discussion and camaraderie with the Diocese’s shepherd and priests will take place June 29 for those discerning a call to the priesthood.
What a joy it was to see so many of our parishioners return to Mass last weekend. I borrow the quote of Saint Peter on Mount Tabor: “Lord, it is good that we are here.” It was amazing to have Masses full with people of all ages again, especially young families. What a blessing!
Welcome back to Mass! What a joy it is to have all our parishioners gathering again in our beautiful church for Holy Mass. As you know the Bishops of New Jersey have lifted the dispensation to attend Mass that was given from the beginning of the pandemic.
